I knew that I wanted to be a psychologist as a teenager, but I had to wait over twenty years to start studies and then practice. Only as an adult woman did I feel fully ready to accept clients. I knew that life experience was just as important as work experience.\u00a0<\/p>

In 2020, I graduated with a degree in psychology from SWPS University in Warsaw. My work is guided primarily by the premise that the quality of care experienced in the first part of a person's life shapes their later emotional makeup. Therefore, I primarily work on relationships using a psychodynamic and systemic approach, while remembering that a person is not merely the sum of their experiences but, above all, someone with potential. This guides my work, remembering that every person possesses enormous reserves of possibilities and potential, and that sometimes we just need help to recognize this.\u00a0<\/p>

I am currently training at a psychotherapy school and am constantly developing my skills and knowledge,\u00a0<\/p>

From my experience working with expats, as well as from personal experience, I know that it's very easy to forget our own potential. This is often hindered by language barriers, feelings of incompetence, fear of failure and ridicule, as well as limited social support and the pressure to succeed. This often leads to more serious challenges, such as anxiety disorders, sleep disturbances, and episodes of depression. If you struggle with any of these issues, it's worth considering working through your thoughts with someone who can help you understand where they come from and how to manage them.<\/p>

Primarily, I work with individuals struggling with relationship difficulties \u2013 whether in current relationships or after a breakup, when emotions linger. I also work with individuals when building relationships becomes difficult or even impossible. I support parents who experience difficulties in communicating with their children or their partner's children, as well as individuals living in patchwork families. I also work with adults struggling with anxiety, depression, or life crises. Individuals growing up in families with alcohol problems (ACoAs) also play a significant role in my work.<\/p>

I do not undertake work related to sexual difficulties, experiences of sexual or domestic violence, or suicidal crisis. However, in such cases, I can offer psychological consultation and assist in referrals to appropriate specialists who will be more competent to tailor assistance.<\/p>

Today, I live in the UK and am a member of the Polish Psychiatric Association, the Polish Psychologists' Association, and the British Psychological Society. In May 2023, I opened my private psychology practice in Berkshire, where I see both children and adults on an in-person basis. I regularly supervise my work, both individually and in groups.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
